Sharing Wisdom and Enlightenment to Awaken The Highest Version of Who You Are!

Detaching Self from “My Things and My Story”

Last week I decided to do something that had been on my mind for a few months now. What was it? Well let me explain how I got to the idea in the first place, before I tell you what it was.

A few months ago, I decided to go through my jewellery drawer and reconnect with what was in there.  I consider myself a minimalist and hence do not like anything extra in the house in terms of clutter. I am in no way, you know that saying, a “pack-rat”. “If I don’t use it, then I don’t need it and hence it should not be there” is I guess a general way of understanding my outlook on “stuff”.

I don’t like to have many versions of one thing, because

a) you lose appreciation for your items more and

Earth Day Aftermath - The Starfish Inspiration

dsc04707.JPGYesterday was Earth Day as most of us know and in today’s times that is a day I feel we should all take to heart very seriously!

Why? Well some of us may still wonder that, but you would literally have to live under a rock, or be completely ignorant not to realize the fragile state our Earth is in. Now here is the biologist in me speaking when I say, that all the hype about pollution, global warming, the ozone layer, natural disasters and species extinction is NOT exaggerated!

So the day is done…did you notice it? Did you do something special for it? Or did it pass just like any other day? And how about today - if you did think about it yesterday, did you give it another thought today?

The reason I ask these questions is because too often, special days, occasions, meaningful dates get focus only on that one day, and that’s it! They vanish from our minds and our actions! Take Christmas for example.  Aside from all the shopping and excessive preparation we do for that “one day”. The idea normally is that on Christmas or around Christmas we should be and most are nicer, more generous, more charitable, etc.  But what about the rest of the year? That is what I am trying to get at. We treat each other “nicer” at Christmas and then what, forget to be nice and charitable, etc. for the rest of the year?

However, just as we have to nourish our spirit, we know very well that being physical beings we also have to nourish our body.  With all of the amazing medical research and technological advances, it is no wonder that health gets a lot of attention in the media today. And yet despite the fact that today we know more than ever, we have higher than ever rates of many preventable diseases.

Do you ever wonder why that is?  Why is it that we as humans in general are so resistant to change?  Why do we find our habits too hard to break?

The discussion again goes back to consciousness and to redefining health, by understanding what makes up “complete health”.

If you live in a developed country today, then you have ample information at your fingertips on how to live healthy and happy.  But in order to benefit from that information you have to first make a conscious choice to listen to it and apply it into your own life.

And so in this article today, I share with you the simplest and yet possibly one of the most powerful pieces of information on how to access optimal complete health in your life. It is based on the idea of the Health Continuum and accessing optimal complete health.
