Over the holidays I got a surprise by being “tagged” by Juliet from Life Made Great.
I was somewhat familiar with blogger tagging before, but I have found that there are various “rules” for what a tag means, so I got intrigued as to what this “tag” was about when I got Juliet’s email.
For those of you not familiar with tagging, as I have already mentioned depending on whose “tag” you receive, it may have slight variations, but generally speaking they all follow a similar pattern.
The rules of a tag are pretty simple. In this tag one is invited to share a list of 6 random bits of information about themselves and then “tag” other bloggers. It is just a nice way really for bloggers to get to know each other a little more.
Hence today I thought we would keep things lighter than normal, and I will share with you 6 random bits of information about myself, although I will put a small spin on it and keep it on theme with Evolving Beings. Hence it will be 6 random things about me regarding spiritual and personal growth.
1. I believe in soul mates and I am with mine right now.
From the time I was a little girl, literally 5 or 6 my all time favorite topic was love. I know, I know you may be thinking “nothing new for girls”, but on a deeper level it was very different. I was not dreaming of a white dress, babies and picket fences. I was thinking very actively about being not just united but even later on in my life as it came to be “re-united” with my soul mate.
My idea of soul mates is not society’s typically dreamy, yet unrealistic view. For me soul mates are the people we choose to connect with through a previous spiritual agreement to live our lives with. Some people choose a few of these people, some people none and some one. For me it was one and I was sure it was going to happen no matter what people told me throughout my life and how many times I heard “get real”.
Well in my mid/late 20’s it happened, Markus and I came together and how it happened I will save for a future story perhaps, but the point is that when it happened we both knew something was very different – we just knew. You know when people say “it’s like we’ve always known each other” – well we have known each other in the past lives we lived out together. We knew this fact ourselves and it was later confirmed by an intuitive medium with some undeniable detail.
The even more amazing thing about us coming together was that ever since we re-united, both of our lives changed drastically and we fell into a type of sync together and both began to experience a massive spiritual transformation.
2. The “Conversations With God” 3-part series of books began an intense transformational, spiritual journey for me about 4 years ago.
It came to me by what some would call a strange twist of events (again one day I will explain in detail), and it changed my life completely. It stirred within me a greater desire I could have ever known for life and humanity. It awoke me to a higher self than I had ever known. It not only broadened and widened my perspective on ALL things, but it also allowed me to start seeing life in ways I never imagined possible.
It made me question many things. It tested me on a deeper level more than anything else in my life. But bottom line it made me think like I never thought before. At first to be honest I have to tell you there was a lot of discomfort as all my paradigms of my first 25 years were being turned upside down. My ego rebelled as my soul began to come through louder and clearer.
Bottom line it started for me the best change I could have ever asked for and I have been living out the best life I could have ever imagined since. Really it just keeps getting better and better as it introduced me to a whole new world in which I feel more myself than I have ever been and know not only the purpose of life, but also my part in it.
3. I prioritize vacationing over many other things that most other people usually consider more valuable.
If you give me the choice of a big fancy house or the best car in the world or an unlimited wardrobe of the best designer clothes versus trips/vacations – I would choose the vacations, always, hands down.
My love for not just travelling, but specifically for taking vacations came rather early in life when I realized how amazing and fully alive I felt exploring new parts of the world and having a chance to truly “be”. I loved the freedom, the wholeness and the total mind, body, spirit relaxation and balance that vacations brought (this is despite the fact that I love my job).
To this day I have prioritized to take far away, longer vacations at least once a year and near by, day or weekend vacations as regularly as possible during the warm months.
As for places, they cannot just be any places. I am specifically drawn to warm and nature filled places. I am not one for exploring big cities or running around sight seeing. I can spend all day sitting on a beach, in the mountains or in a forest. My all time dream place to visit at some point in my life are the Maldives.
4. Aside from the areas of spirituality and self-growth, I have a huge passion for health and natural living.
After years of scientific and health research and then recently spiritual research, I completely believe that we are not only what we eat, but a clean body is necessary for a clean mind and the two go together perfectly.
I know the benefits of wholesome and natural foods physically, and am now making connections to what we eat and how it affects our mind and spiritual side. Although I know our thoughts are the most powerful in determining our health, one cannot deny that what we put into our bodies either makes the foundation for health stronger or weaker.
Different foods just like everything else have and carry with them different energies and that energy will eventually be part of you. Hence when we eat pure, raw and wholesome foods there is a much different energy that we introduce into our bodies than when we eat processed, heavy or artificial food.
I love living life based on holistic principles (as I am sure any of you who have visited Evolving Wellness can tell) and what is even more so is that I love sharing with others and helping others achieve optimal health naturally as well, especially those who are still more governed by the physical food they eat, rather then being able to attain optimal health through just their mind and thoughts.
5. I want to learn to see and read auras.
I have heard about auras long before I got interested in metaphysical topics. However recently I have had a deep desire to get to know all topics involved with auras. I know we can see auras, our abilities to see them are just shaded by the physical illusion most of us have convinced ourselves is the only thing that is “real”.
Hence as my journey continues I hope to re-awaken new senses within me that will hopefully open back up my abilities to see and read auras.
6. I am currently exploring channeling and connecting with spiritual realms.
This sort of deals with number 5 and yet is a whole separate area for me. Ever since I broke the barrier of considering “channeling” a real and possible phenomenon, thanks to Esther Hicks and her work with Abraham, I have now not only become open to the possibility but feel an urge within me to connect with higher spiritual realms as well.
I have read pretty much all of Esther Hicks’ Abraham books, Jane Roberts’ Seth material and became familiar with many other channelers and their material. Based on my current understanding of how energy works and how we are all governed by it, I have a new respect and appreciation for this connection that we are ALL capable of. The problem is, if it can be called a problem, is that most of us either do not believe in it or do not want such a connection whether out of fear or other reasons.
For the past couple of years I have been more in tune with my higher self than ever before and have become more sensitive to energy changes, vibrations and frequencies as well as my connection to guides and angels. Thus if I can develop my ability to perceive and perhaps even open the channels of communication with the higher realms, than I am very open to it and eager about it. Hence as the new year rolls on I know it will be a very exciting one indeed, where this area is concerned!
Your Turn
So that is a little more about me, and now here are a few bloggers I have decided to “tag”:
Julie from Random Meanderings
Kristi from Kikolani – Poetry, Art, Photography
Susie from Soul to Soul
Lance from The Jungle of Life
Hanlie from Fertile Healthy
I am not 100% sure if any of you have been tagged with this one specifically before, if not, do not feel obligated, but enjoy yourself to participate if you would like!

Evita, whenever you decide to grow and expand, what you may not realize is that you already are. You are raising your awareness in ways that are currently beyond your radar. Your emotional barometer is a wonderful gauge or road map for self-discovery. Regardless of where you travel in the physical world, your journey inward is ongoing and perpetually fruitful. Remind yourself human beings do not evolve based on their ego/ambition, desire or schedule, but rather, based on what Forces beyond you deem appropriate. This may be difficult to understand, but it is not mean to be understood in human terms. Your writing is always a pleasure to read. The topics stimualte the mind.
Hi Evita,
It’s wonderful to learn a bit more about you. I love the angle you approached this from – it just really feels like “you”, and I like that very much. A spiritual journey is one worth taking, one worth opening up to. You’re doing this, you’re real connections at a very deep level – and words that run warm through my heart. And as I gain more insight into you, Evita, I continue to be pulled in by your message here. On this journey of yours, I do find myself learning and evolving, becoming the person I’m meant to be….
Wow Evita!
You’ve done tagging justice! You’ve shared such depth about yourself with us. Thank you!
Juliet
Evita, what a wonderful way you presented this, and with such depth! You know, writing this from a spiritual point of view is so refreshing! It’s a more true “window” for us than a mere recitation of data. I agree wholeheartedly with everything Liara, Lance, and Juliet said. Thank you!
I’m very honored by your request. Although my computer use will be limited in the coming week, I promise to write my “tagged.” :)

Wow!
A very ambitious list of accomplishments.
More than my new year resolution.
I can only wish you good luck.
Let us know of your progress.
Be loved!
I like your idea of a theme to the 6 things we reveal about ourselves. I’ll have to remember that when I do my six things next week.
I agree with soulmates. When you meet the right person, there is just this undeniable connection that just happens. From things as big as beliefs to the small things, like enjoying water at room temperature instead of cold.
Natural living and health is also becoming a big deal to me. I really cleaned up my diet by going vegetarian over a year ago, and I can tell when I’ve eaten something bad because my entire being mentally and physically reacts to it.
Along with the diet change, I managed to get off a lot of medications, and the lack of chemicals in my system made a big difference. And now, when anything comes up health wise, I have started by researching natural methods to handle it.
Anyway, great post! And thanks for the tag.
~ Kristi
Dear beautiful Evita, I read this and I was reading about myself. I understood and felt and knew everything you wrote here. I was sooooo delighted and yet not in the least surprised by anything your expressed….because my body and soul had already felt this about you. I know you understand what I am saying here. I have felt our soul connection over great distance and immediately. A remembering and a recognition. I love what you wrote here about soulmates and love and knew EXACTLY what you were saying. It was and has been the same for me as far back as I can remember, which was right from the beginning for me. I wish I was there now and could hug you and tell you that I KNOW, I UNDERSTAND and I SEE you. Much love to you, my remarkable shinning sister friend. Robin
PS Right down to what you is important to you. Travel over fancy house, car, clothes, etc. I am the soooo the same. And right down to WHERE you would go, warm, nature, peace etc. and not the city. Well, you know. I am the same. I am also deeply reassure and pleased that you are in the world. How amazing is that?!! VERY VERY VERY! :)
I was so intrigued by some of your words up there, and getting to know a fellow blogger! I Loved it! Im reading along and just loved your vacation being important. I love vacationing as well, and I was thinking how cool it is traveling the internet and learning about other people and their lives.. and as I scroll down.. I was like.. WOW.. thats my site.. I was tagged!
You made me chuckle, I did not know I was tagged.. otherwise I would have been thinking of my 6 thingS!
Thank you all so much for your warm expressions and kind comments. And thank you so much again Juliet for giving me the opportunity to talk a little about myself and let my readers get to know me a little more and better on a personal level!
I am so happy to hear that you all enjoyed learning more about me.
I feel so blessed also to have such caring and deeply inspiring readers like all of you – many of whom I get to also call friends – and for that I am forever grateful. I love writing and blogging, but thanks to you guys it just has taken on a whole other meaning, filled with more joy and satisfaction than I could have ever hoped for :)
