Sharing Wisdom and Enlightenment to Awaken The Highest Version of Who You Are!

Your Spiritual Garden

Throughout our life, we hear many metaphors for “God”, as we each have our own unique relationship with “God”. A few common ways that people try to relate to ”God” are as “God the Father”, “God the friend”, “God the Creator”, “God the energy”, etc.

Another way that is also very inspirational to relate to God is as “God the gardener“. Some people feel that God can be seen as cultivating the world, giving it water of life, and nourishment from the soils. And so, as this caring gardener tends to all of his “seeds”, he watches them grow and unfold right before his eyes.

The gardener never forces his plants to grow a certain way, but gives them love and all the requirements for life and simply watches them “be”.

Hence when I came across this poem/prayer from Joyce Rupp, it eloquently demonstrated to me, how some people can envision, feel and relate to God as a gardener:

I Am Heaven

dsc04366.JPGLast night in my very occasional hour of TV watching, I caught an episode of Oprah where she featured 3 comedians: Jim Carey, Carol Burnett and Steve Carell, who are the main voices in the newest Dr. Seuss movie, “Horton Hears a Who“.

I later found out that that episode was a re-run and so I will not re-explain or re-live the show’s highlights. If you have missed it, you can read a really well put together synopsis of it from IM with God.

What I do want to do is focus on the beautiful and profound statement Jim Carey gave Oprah when she asked him if he had a phrase or motto that he lived by. To this he replied “I Am Heaven“.

This statement moved me so deeply, as it did Oprah and probably the entire audience, as instantly the thought came to my head “He got it!”

Can you imagine what life would be like if everybody felt that way?

Can you imagine the impact a person can make on themselves, another or the entire planet living with a paradigm like that?

And so in this article I want to explore these questions and give you a little more insight on how good life actually can be, if we only allow it and on how we can make Heaven a real place for ourselves, right here, right now.

A Primer on Growing Children

primercoverthumbnail.jpgMany people will agree that one of the greatest blessings in life are children. However, most of society is still structured in such a way today, where people think that the answer to having a fulfilled and complete existence is having children.

So, while many are caught up with the expectation of having children and busy planning them, very few people actually stop and think about the real preparation and impacts of having a child.

Unfortunately, when it comes to having kids, for many of us this longing for children stems from a very selfish decision, one that is often based on personal fulfillment, ownership and greed. Now that may sound harsh to some, but the truth is, this internal drive exists unconsciously in many of us, whether we are aware of it or not, and today goes beyond the basic evolutionary instinct.

That is why when I came across Rick Hurst’s e-book, “A Primer on Growing Children” a few months ago, I was really blown away by the compassion and wisdom that Rick presented in this short e-book.

Rick very intelligently structured the book where he compares having children to planting and caring for a seedling in a garden.  The ideas in it, are thus compiled in a very charming and elegant way, where one will quickly understand what Rick is talking about when it comes to parenting, without getting offended.

The Secret of the Union of Science and Spirituality

I have just found this video of an interview with famous scientist and author, Gregg Braden and I am delighted to share it with all of you here on Evolving Beings!

Upon researching Gregg’s work I was very moved by his scientific explanations of how and why the Earth and we exist as we do. Being a scientist myself, this video really hit home. But what I found most exhilirating is how Gregg’s move toward our spiritual side allows us to examine our own existance on this planet from a higher perspective that cleverly and beautifully merges science and spirituality.

By the way if you are wondering, Gregg’s work has nothing to do with Scientology. It is solely based on the core sciences that for centuries were unable to explain the spiritual side of the world.
